Climb Overview: 4 Days
Day 1: The trek begins at Momela Gate and ascends through a rainforest, offering the chance to see wildlife. The hike continues up to Miriakamba Hut for the night at an altitude of 2,514 meters.
Day 2: A challenging climb leads to Saddle Hut, located at 3,500 meters, and offers incredible views of the surrounding volcanic landscapes. This day prepares climbers for the final ascent, as it allows for better
acclimatization.
Day 3: Summit Day involves an early morning start to the top of Mount Meru at 4,566 meters. The summit offers breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding national park. Afterward, the descent follows the same route back to Miriakamba Hut.
Day 4: The final day involves descending back to the Momela Gate to complete the climb.
